Negligence while driving can result in a number of outcomes. One potential outcome is that an auto accident is caused and someone is seriously hurt or even killed. Reckless driving is the result of a large amount of deaths each year across the nation, including in Missouri. One recent accident may have been the result of negligent or reckless driving.
The outcome of the accident was one death. The driver of a pickup truck was reportedly traveling south on a multiple-lane road when the driver of another vehicle apparently swerved into the truck’s lane. The two vehicles collided. The impact caused the truck driver to skid and apparently lose control of his vehicle before hitting a guardrail and flipping over.
The driver of the truck and his passenger were both ejected from the vehicle when it overturned. The driver of the vehicle that initiated the crash was not inured; however, the driver of the truck died and his passenger was seriously injured. The man who died was only 31 years old.
Losing a friend or family member can be extremely difficult to deal with. It can be even more emotionally tolling on a person when they are involved in the same situation but lived while their loved one died. The injured man may choose to file in the state of Missouri for compensation due to his physical and emotional damages sustained in the accident. The victim’s family may also choose to file a claim for any alleged reckless driving that may have resulted in their loved one’s untimely death. Everyone involved will likely have a long road to recovery with their loss.
